Training Specialist — EDS Vehicle Engineering & Planning group
Provided advanced class room training in the following courses: Windows, Microsoft applications from beginning to advanced in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Lotus Notes Mail.
June of 97 – October 97: Volunteered to work on the Veterans Administration Implementation project to provide Microsoft Exchange training to Executives of the Veterans Administration Medical Center at up to 168 sites nation-wide. Required weekly travel, quick knowledge of the software, contacted the sites to coordinate the classroom training schedule, made all travel arrangements, and was prepared to teach classroom , individual, and or demonstrations
January of 97: Volunteered to travel to Sunnyvale, California to provide training needs assessment to the Philips Semiconductors EDS Account. This was a two-week review to identify application training requirements to support the information Technology implementation plan.
June of 95: Developed courseware and delivered a three-day Notebook Training course for the GM Oldsmobile customer. The class included the following software: Ontime, WinFax Pro, RLN, and custom templates in Microsoft Word and Excel unique to the customer’s ob. Traveled to the Oldsmobile sites in Los Angeles and Oakland California, New York, and Detroit to teach the course to GM Sales Executives
April of 94: Assigned to the Remote Notebook Training project on the EDS North America Vehicle Sales, Service and Marketing group. This project included the development of custom courseware for a three-day training program using Microsoft Window, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Traveled to Dallas Texas to deliver the training.

Founder of one-on-one training. Provided one-on-one computer assistance training the GM Truck Engineers. Wrote the proposal for the training services. The contract was signed and a total of 15 one-on-one trainers were hired. Developed the PC Training plan which set the foundation for this service. Responsibilities of the trainer included: Scheduling one-on-one training sessions with the GM engineers. Writing custom instructional material, handouts, and tip sheets. Planning and coordinate meetings with GM management to keep them informed on issues concerning the Local Area Network and training. Generating application usage statistics to show the engineer’s progress. Plan, coordinate, and deliver User Group meetings and special workshops to Truck engineers.

Graphics Artist — EDS Corporate Communications group
Designed and created computer graphics such as presentations, statistical charts, brochures, and other conventional graphics using high-level Macintosh software and equipment. Worked on special project for the GM Marketing Systems Steering council. The purpose of the project was to create a diagram in a user-friendly visual to help reconcile the data model across each of the GM name plates. The final output was a wall-size diagram that completely covered a large conference room. Consulted and coordinated with project managers to meet deadlines and deliver quality documentation. Worked with Aldus Persuasion, Adobe Illustrator, Aldus Freehand, PageMaker, MacDraw, Microsoft Excel, and Word.
