bout Me

Growing up in a small Midwestern town, some people may call it "Peyton Place", but I prefer to think of it more like the town of "Mayberry". Being the fifth child of eight brother and sisters, I learned how to share things, wear hand-me downs, and the value of money. My father taught us about loyalty, honor, and how to play fair. My mother, busy raising eight kids, still found the time to provide us with much love and comfort. And she always looked forward to new technologies, such as how to make a healthy dinner on a few pennies and all in 20 minutes or less.

The beauty of a Midwestern town is the changing of the seasons. Like most children, I took advantage of each and every season. In the summer, we learned to water ski, built sand castles at the beach, and swim in the cold rapid waters of the St. Clair River. The winter was everything from making a snowman to snow skiing. Fall was looking for bright colored leaves. Spring was flying kites and playing in the rain.

Now that I'm an adult and have traveled to nearly every state in the US, I truly appreciate the charm of the mid-western life. And like my father always says "There's no place like home".
